Your trip with MBALELO TOURS will be officially secured upon issuance of our ‘Confirmation Invoice & Itinerary’. This document will be sent after we receive your deposit and finalize all aspects of your journey to Tanzania. Your trip is governed by these booking terms, and by agreeing, you affirm that you have the authority to accept and not accept the terms on behalf of your party (as indicated on the booking form).
When you book with us, you’ll need to pay a deposit of 30% of the total cost, or the full amount if your trip is within 45 days. The remaining balance must be settled at least 45 days before departure. Failure to pay on time could lead to trip cancellation, and your deposit will be retained. We’ll send reminders for any delayed payments, but persistent non-payment will result in cancellation.
Quotes are given in USD, and the price may fluctuate based on current exchange rates until you confirm your trip. Once confirmed, the currency rate is fixed, and we do not impose currency surcharges or reduce the cost after confirmation. If you add services later, the cost will reflect the exchange rate on that day, and any refunds will be based on the rate used when you originally booked.
You or any member of your party can cancel your travel arrangements at any time. To do so, the person who made the booking must send a written cancellation notice via email to info@mbalelotours.com. Please ensure you receive confirmation from Mbalelo Tours that your email has been received. Because we incur costs for canceling your arrangements, cancellation fees will apply as outlined below (please also note any exceptions).
| Period Before Departure in Which You Notify Us: | Cancellation Charge: |
|---|---|
| More than 45 days | Deposit only |
| 38 to 45 days | 35% of booking cost |
| 30 to 37 days | 50% of booking cost |
| 20 to 29 days | 75% of booking cost |
| Less than 28 days | 100% of booking cost |
Please Note: During peak booking periods, some accommodations might have higher cancellation fees, which could increase the charges mentioned earlier. If this affects your booking, we will inform you in writing before you pay your deposit. After paying the deposit and receiving your Confirmation Invoice, you will be responsible for these higher fees. If you’ve paid for international flights with your deposit, those are non-refundable and will be added to the cancellation fees.
If We Are Forced to Cancel Your Travel Arrangements: We reserve the right to cancel all or part of your booking if unforeseen circumstances compel us to do so. We will not cancel your booking less than 45 days before your departure date, except in cases of unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances or if you fail to pay the final balance. Unavoidable circumstances are situations beyond our control that could not be avoided even with reasonable measures, such as war, riots, civil unrest, strikes, terrorism, epidemics or pandemics, natural or nuclear disasters, fires, severe weather, or unavoidable transport issues.
We encourage customers with special needs to contact us before booking to discuss the suitability of their plans, as not all destinations may be appropriate. We reserve the right to decline or cancel bookings if we determine that we cannot meet your needs. For special requests like food intolerances, we will relay these to our suppliers, but please note that these requests cannot be guaranteed.
